DMARC for Autotask: alerts as tickets for every client domain.

A DMARC alert nobody triages is just another email. DMARC AI sends its notifications to an Autotask mailbox, and Autotask's own Incoming Email Processing turns each one into a ticket: in the queue, with the priority, that you set.

How it works

Email in, ticket out: using a feature you already have.

There is no connector to install and no API key to rotate. The integration uses Autotask's Incoming Email Processing, which converts incoming email into Autotask tickets.

1 · DMARC AI Detects something that needs a person, and sends a notification email to the address you configured.
2 · Autotask mailbox The email lands in a mailbox that Incoming Email Processing watches.
3 · Ticket Autotask creates a ticket: the subject becomes the ticket title and the body becomes the description, using the defaults set on that mailbox.
4 · Your process From there it is an ordinary ticket: SLAs, assignment, time entries and reporting all work as they do for everything else.
Setting it up

Give DMARC alerts their own mailbox.

In Autotask each processed mailbox has one set of ticket defaults. A dedicated mailbox is what lets DMARC alerts land in the right queue with the right priority, instead of mixing with general support email.

  1. 1In Autotask, set up a mailbox for Incoming Email Processing to watch. Basic processing includes the Autotask-provided mailbox and one custom mailbox, and creates tickets only; Advanced adds up to fifteen custom mailboxes alongside the Autotask-provided one.
  2. 2Set that mailbox's ticket defaults, queue, priority, issue type, to how your team handles email-security work.
  3. 3In DMARC AI, send notifications to that mailbox address.
  4. 4Trigger a test notification and check where the ticket lands and which organisation it is attributed to. Autotask attributes incoming email by sender address, so decide how you want alert tickets linked to clients.

Autotask's documentation covers mailbox configuration and duplicate-ticket handling in detail. If you already route RMM alerts into Autotask by email, the pattern will be familiar.

Nothing slips through

An alert in somebody's inbox can sit unread over a weekend. A ticket has an owner, a queue and an SLA clock.

schedule

Billable time is captured

Fixing a client's SPF include or DKIM selector is work. Logging it against a ticket is how it shows up in the QBR and on the invoice.

Pair it with finance

The Application Link integration carries domain usage per client into your accounting package for invoicing.
